Our History

Ed Reese began collecting Christian data as a teenager.

Ed Reese graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1950 and has been faithfully serving the Lord ever since in a variety of capacities including missionary, pastor, evangelist, author, musician, and Bible College Professor. He now serves at Crown Bible College in Powell, TN where Dr Clarence Sexton is pastor. (We are very grateful to Dr. Sexton and the kindness he has extended to my parents).

Now over 60 years later, (25 years teaching at Christian Colleges), he has amassed an amazing assortment of Christian Data and Religious Information including 42 file drawers, 10,000 books, and one of the world's largest collections of Christian periodicals.

Ed Reese is the editor of two well-known reference books. The Reese Chronological Bible and The Reese Chronological Encyclopedia of Christian Biographies.

Dr. Reese assists various organizations with research and resource materials. If you need Christian Data but don’t have the resources or time, then please contact us. He has helped various Christian Leaders such as Bill Bright, Bill Gothard, Jack Hyles, and Clarence Sexton, in various projects.

Our Mission

Ed Reese has a desire to see Bible Christianity continue without excessive worldliness on the left, or excessive isolation on the right. He has a burden to see the family of God work together. He relishes his memories of the revival experience that he enjoyed in 1945 through 1960. Ed has a burden to pass this vision on to today's young people.

He is a friend of all those who know the Lord. He has remained true to the historic Bible doctrines and music used through the years.

Your Donations

Your donations to Reese Religious Research are greatly appreciated. We feel that it is important to pass on our faith to the next generation and that our Christian Heritage be documented, preserved, and made accessible to all.

RRR, is a 501 c3 organization, incorporated in Illinois. RRR is not underwritten by anyone and can use the help of God's people to continue its ministry. All donations to Reese Religious Research are tax deductible.

One project is the development of a Christian Museum and Religious Research Center. Baseball has Cooperstown for it's "Hall of Fame" and we believe it would be an inspiration for young people to see and learn about those who are our "true heroes".

We have one of the largest privately owned collections of Christian Data in the world. Funds are also needed to archive old books and information for future generations and to tabulate and condense data, books, in ways that would be helpful and retrievable. In addition to books, the Internet is opening doors of opportunity to share information to "the uttermost parts of the world." We believe it is of vital importance for the next generation of Christian leaders to have access to historic sermons and teachings.

With the advent of T.V., radio, and busy schedules, it's rare to find contemporary authors that have the spiritual depth of bygone times. Today we find that many of the best selling Christian books are focused on secrets to wealth, health, and prosperity. "How to feel good" has replaced "Thus says the Lord...".

In this age of compromise and luke warm Christianity, we need to find inspiration from those who have boldly proclaimed the Word of the Lord. Prayerfully consider helping us to preserve and share this wonderful Christian heritage.
